Add a Today plug-in for Windows Mobile for Weather Watcher.
The plug-in should contain: current temperature, 3-day forecast (using weather icons), a red flag for alerts that, when tapped, goes to the Weather Watcher alert tab, and an icon that when tapped goes to the weather map selected (such as radar).

Screen saver function
The user could define the content to cycle on the screen. Weather maps, current conditions, detailed forecast, etc.

Email severe alerts
Could have a PC running Weather Watcher send an email or text message to my cell phone on certain severe weather alerts.

Large tray icon
I'd want the tray icon representing weather condition to be larger. Right now it is tiny and hardly discernible.

get the sunset/sunrise times to be accurate for Winnipeg, MB
The times are all wrong for Winnipeg, MB and they've been this way since WWL came out. If regular WW can get it right, why not WWL?

Sense notebook opening up and immediately update WW data.
Notebooks closed for the night then reopened the next day show the conditions from the prior night's last WW update. This can last until the next scheduled WW update which can be quite long if an update time has been set like 30 min or greater. It would be most convenient when the nb comes out of suspension if WW could check the time between the last update and the current time and trigger an update if the difference was greater than a few hours.

On Startup, I wish there were the additional option of...
Set tray icon to BLANK until first weather update.

Suport CWOP/APRS data streams.
Have the ability to connect to the CWOP or APRS data streams via telnet. This would allow you to view many many more weather stations local to your area. Due to the type of connection updates would be almost instantaneous.
It would require the ability to make a telnet connection to one of the many servers available and also able to send a filter string to fetch only the weather stations you want to keep down the bandwith. Here is an example of this in a MSW Vista gadget available at http://www.sv2agw.com/ham/vista_aprs.htm . Sorry to say that I do not… more2 votes -

.png weather icons support
Would be very appreciated - especially transparent png's look much better than gif's - and they're available everywhere. Icons converted png-->gif are not the same. :-(
